Christopher first got involved with the Boys and Girls Club in 2014. After moving to Austin and looking to get involved in the community, he attended multiple Boys and Girls Club events and joined the effort to start a young professionals organization supporting the Boys and Girls Club of the Austin Area. Along with 8 other Founding members, he helped plan and launch Club Blue of the Austin Area in 2016. Christopher played a pivotal role in organizing the First Annual Club Blue Glowball Golf Tournament which helped raise over $11,000 to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of the Austin Area.
Outside of Club Blue, Christopher is the VP of Acquisitions for a Private Equity Real Estate Company, Virtus Real Estate Capital.Chris holds a B.S in Finance from North Carolina State University.
Ali Barnett has been involved with the Boys and Girls Club since her time at The University of Mississippi. She first got involved through her sororities philanthropy, Champions Are Readers, that focused on improving literacy in Mississippi. Ali participated in monthly reading sessions and tutoring with the kids as well as yearly fundraisers. She is passionate about the mission of the Boys and Girls Club and is excited to join Club Blue as a board member in 2019.
Outside of Club Blue, Ali is an Account Executive building out a new public sector division for her company, Brooksource. She focuses on IT managed service projects local to Texas at the federal, state, and city level. In her free time she loves to explore the Austin food scene and go for long walks around Town Lake. Ali holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from Ole Miss.
Chief Marketing Officer and Founding Member
Lindsay became involved in the Boys and Girls Club in 2015, helping to found Club Blue of the Austin Area with several friends after looking for ways to spend more time giving back to the community. She has previously been involved with Reading is Fundamental, the United Way Giving Campaign and the Capital Area Food Bank of Central Texas.
Lindsay is a sales director for Zilliant, a data science and software company headquartered in Austin. Lindsay earned a BS in Public Relations and an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.
Priscilla Leake joined Club Blue as a new board member in 2019. As a native Austinite and older sister to seven, she has always been engaged in supporting children and giving back to the local community in any way she can.
Outside of Club Blue, she works in marketing for Jungle Scout, a SaaS company in downtown Austin, trains and teaches Krav Maga, and spends the rest of her time exploring the outdoor spaces in and around Austin.
Vice President and Founding Member
Nick was introduced to the Boys and Girls Club in late 2014. He was invited to join as a founding board member of Club Blue and assist with the formation and strategy of the organization. Early on, Nick connected with other young professional organizations around the county that are affiliated with the Boys and Girls Club to learn about their structure and identify best practices to use for Club Blue. He has worked closely with the entire board to implement these ideas and assist with the establishment of Club Blue. His on-going responsibilities in Club Blue include syndicating corporate sponsorships, event planning, and member recruitment.
Outside of Club Blue, Nick is the Asset Manager for a Private Equity Real Estate Company, Virtus Real Estate Capital. In his free time, he is an avid outdoorsman that enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time on the lake. Nick holds a B.B.A. in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin.
Lisa first became involved with Club Blue in 2015 through various volunteer and fundraising events. After participating for 2 years, she wanted to take on more responsibility within the club and successfully helped plan and administer a happy hour fundraising event hosted by theCHIVE.
Outside of her efforts with Club Blue, Lisa is a senior property accountant for a Private Equity Real Estate Company, Virtus Real Estate Capital. Lisa holds a B.S in Finance from Sam Houston State University.
Eric Machak joined Club Blue as a member in 2015, joining the board in 2018. As an Engineering undergrad at the University of Michigan, Eric held board positions on two community service student organizations. Since graduating he has continued his community involvement in Texas, including supporting Meals on Wheels and Ronald McDonald house.
Eric holds a MBA from the University of Texas and now works as an Engagement Manager at Zilliant, an Austin company using AI to help clients optimize pricing strategy. Prior to Zilliant Eric worked as a consultant specializing in IT and Finance process design with Deloitte, and independently. When not helping clients he enjoys cooking and staying active on the many trails around Austin.
Kevin first got involved with the Boys and Girls Clubs in 2011. After attending many events, he realized there weren’t as many young professionals involved with the Boys and Girls Club of Austin as there should be. After a year of planning, Club Blue of the Austin Area was officially launched with 9 Founding Members. In the first year of operations, the new non-profit raised over $12,000 to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of the Austin Area.
Outside of his efforts with Club Blue, Kevin is the Acquisitions Director for a Private Equity Real Estate Investment Company, Virtus Real Estate Capital. Kevin holds a B.B.A. in Finance from The Ohio State University and an M.B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin.
Alex joined Club Blue as a new board member in 2018 and excited to be involved with the Boys & Girls Clubs. Alex is passionate about giving back to the community, being involved in the Big Brothers Big Sister program and St. Jude’s Research Hospital in addition to Club Blue.
Outside of Club Blue, Alex works in as a Customer Success Manager at Zilliant, a data science and software company in Austin. He is a jazz and blues saxophonist in town, and is a big sports fan. Alex holds a B.A in International Studies and Chinese Language from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN.
Clive Runnells IV
Clive joined the Club Blue Board in 2018 and is excited to be supporting the kids who will be the future of Austin. After moving back to his hometown, he was reminded of his appreciation of the Austin community and longed to find a way to benefit the future of the town that shaped his youth. He became acquainted with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Austin through his company’s work developing the soon to be completed Austin Area Legacy Club and began attending BGCAA and Club Blue fundraising events as often as he could.
Clive is an investments analyst at American Campus Communities, a nationwide publicly traded student housing REIT. Clive earned a BS in Economics from the University of Washington in Seattle. From his time in the northwest, he loves the outdoors and can be found helping others cultivate this passion through his support of the Explore Austin organization
Shane has been mentoring teens at the Boys and Girls Club since 2013. His student Jocelyn Woods was the Boys and Girls Club National Youth of the Year in 2016. He joined Club Blue in 2018, inspired by the mission of getting more young professionals involved with the Boys and Girls Club.
Shane is an Eagle Scout, competitive Jiu-Jitsu fighter and former U.S. Marine Infantry Officer turned software entrepreneur and executive. He is the Vice President of Operations at Jungle Scout in downtown Austin.
Brittany joined Club Blue as a new board member in 2019, after looking for ways to get more involved in the Austin community. Since her first job as a Middle School educator, Brittany has been passionate about organizations that support youth development, and is excited to be involved with the Boys and Girls Clubs. Outside of Club Blue, Brittany works in Talent Acquisition for RigUp, an energy industry startup headquartered in Austin. Originally from Ohio, Brittany relocated to Texas in 2014 to escape the long Cleveland winters and for the awesome Austin music scene. Brittany earned a BS in Education from Ohio University and an MBA in Human Resources from Baldwin Wallace University.
